Alas, it is official that we are not going to be able to attend since it's going to start at 11 instead of 3. I volunteer at church the 2nd Sunday of every month to bring snacks and hostess in Fellowship Hall after service and clean up, and that's my Sunday to volunteer. We would have made it to the 3 o'clock event just fine, but there's no way we can make it now. The event will be over before we can get there. I am so sorry... I was really looking forward to bringing a big pot of gumbo (cuz the only way to make it is to make a BIG pot of it Mmmm yum yum).

I was also going to try to pass off my little cockerels in hopes that someone would lovingly take them in and give them a good home. They are absolutely gorgeous & are going to be really beautiful when they're fully grown. Their mother is an EE and their father an American gamefowl & they have the head/face of an ameraucana and the body/tail feathers of an American game with the shiny black/green feathers. I had gotten 3 straight-run chicks from a gal in Modesto, and only 1 turned out to be a pullet. I can't wait to see what color eggs I get outta her, but she's only 2 months old so we won't have any eggs from her until next spring.

So if anyone is interested in a beautiful pair of mutt cockerels, come and get 'em!

Of course, I thought I would have eggs by now... my girls are 21 weeks, and I got zip.

Sorry I'm not going to be able to make it. Maybe next year.
