Greetings All,
Just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with Baycox aka Toltrazuril
Used for cocci.. My head is spinning with conflicting answers on this medication. Some say that Corrid doesn't really cure cocci and only addresses some forms of the disease... My question is if anyone know if you use this medication on your hen is there a withdrawal time for the eggs? I can't find the answer anywhere in my research...

Corid (amprollium) is the primary drug used to treat coccidiosis in chickens in the US, and worldwide. There is no egg withdrawal. Toltrazuril or Baycox is used in other countries primarily, but sometimes used here. It says in the literature not to use in egg layers, but the meat can be used after 17 days. Some organisms can develop resistance to drugs. Sulfa antibiotics can also be used for treatment of coccidiosis, but must be obtained from a vet, and can be harder on chickens than amprollium.
