Baytril drinking water dose

I have two muskovy ducks that need baytril. I have the 10% solution. One duck I cannot catch, she was wild, so I want to add the med to their drinking water. How do I dose that?

There are three reasons you shouldn't add it to their water.

• It's quite bitter and most animals won't drink water with Baytril.
• Baytril can bind to the minerals in water, which will make it less effective.
• Sunlight can degrade it.
• It's hard to dose correctly this way.

My suggestion is to catch both and medicate give 0.05 ml per pound of bodyweight twice a day orally.

Yes, that is correct.

Once you have them caught, you may want to put them in a temporary holding area to make it easier to catch for the next dose.

Yes I agree with @DiYMama540 sure makes it easier to treat. Try walking slowly behind them into the coop. That is less traumatic for them and you.
