Baytril intermuscular injections anyone ?

I have Baytril that I have to inject my girls with, but Im not to sure on how?

They have been at the vets several times back and forth and this is my last try befor culling

I know how much to give just not to sure on how to give it?

Its in the breast meat , does anyone have any tips or knows of any links or litterature on how ?

They have Psittacosis, which can effect humans.

So...

I have baytril in the drinking water and injectable baytril once a week that needs to be given all of this for 3 weeks.

They also has , cocci another protozoan, thrush worms and lice.

Now ..
They had all this befor I got them , these were my first chickens and I had no clue...


We have had the girls for 2 months now and we are ontop of all the illness except this.

I took their blood samples last week and had them confirmed so Im hoping !!!! wishing !!!!!! and praying this will work!!!!

Well i can't find dosages for inj. baytril. But it is a broad spectrum antibiotic just like penn. I don't know if the inj. amounts would be the same or not, but I would think close. Penicillin is 1/2 cc intramuscular per day for 3-5 days. Maybe you can do a search and find it.

I know how much to give but not how to inject ?

should I count sertain amount of fingers down from the neck ?

Or just try to find a juicy part and inject ?

should I pinch the breast then inject ?

Not sure how to administer the injection.
