BB Red Roosters

This may be a really stupid question, but I have 3 BB Red Roo's that run with my Maran Hens and My Maran Roo. Is it possible for a BB Red Rooster to breed one of my Maran hens. My husband asked me that question last night and I guess I figured since they are so little.....that wouldn't be possible. If it is.....I don't want them with my Marans. Please help!!

It depends on the ingenuity of the roo. Some of the little ones can and do get in valid breedings on standard sized girls. Almost all banty roos find a way to get up there, it's just a matter of how smart they are in getting things to work from there.

I remember a thread where one cochin roo would lay in wait by the dusting holes, and make his move when the ladies stepped down into them.

If you're worried about cross-breeding, you should be penning your chosen pair away from the rest of the flock in a 'honeymoon suite' anyway to make sure you're collecting the right eggs. So it really shouldn't matter if you do have a really smart tiny Romeo.
