Feed them a high protein feed, keep them in a small area and keep the feed in front of them at all times. They will do the rest. The BB types grow fast.
hey there,I purchased a bb white turkey from a hatchery in early may and was wondering if it would be ready by thanksgiving.I also seen you said to keep them in a little pen and feed them all the time steve-of-sandspoultry ,mine is lose in my lot of approx. 60ft. x 75ft. is this ok or should I pen her up.Thanks

Since you got yours in May it will be more than ready for Thanksgiving and will be HUGE by then. 4 1/2 to 5 months and a BB type is ready, past that they can get leg problems from the weight. You may have to limit the feed towards the end in your case. I was assuming the OP just got some and wanted to grow them out fast for the holidays, that was why I recommended containing them and shoveling the feed to them.
