Thank you. :hugs I’ve had several losses over the years but I think this one is the worst one because I know if I had just gotten out there minutes earlier I could have saved them or if I had just not let them out to begin with! I wanted them to be able to stretch a bit before the storm since they will be locked in for days but I should have know the predators would be hungry! It’s awful too cause I was out working and only went in for a few minutes 😭😭

It’s one thing when you find them long dead or they just go missing but having to watch her bleed out, take her last breaths, and do the death throes and knowing it was too late to save her was just awful. :hit :hit and then even worse was when I realized it was a baby! I thought it was my old Australorp hen at first which would have been a relief almost because she is 5 and I’m not sure she’s going to make it through this winter. But it just had to be a baby 😭😭
It's not your fault.

I felt the same last weekend when while at a hunting camp, the cow ranchers dogs went missing. We were going to look for them but they said they put out his jacket and the dogs would stay there. One of them got hit by a car and passed away :hit:hit
I wish we had just gone and looked for them, but things just happen.

We can't do everything perfectly, we're only human. Sometimes we make mistakes, and often what happens is out of our control. Just know that she's happy up in heaven now 💗

He’s not old enough yet. And I don’t think we do but I’m not sure. Even if there is one, my neighbor lets their dogs run around regardless if they are in heat or not. This dog is the same one that gets in my yard and attacked my calves the other night.
Is this the same dog that harasses you when you get the mail, too? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Okay, fine -- I am, "hefty."
I weigh about 190 pounds. Surely, you can't deny that that is, "hefty."

Also, yeah, boring. Add some chasing around with scalpels and bathroom scales, and you've got a combination of comedy and horror right there.
Ah! I remember those days. Good goal to work towards.
The more I try the worse it gets. Now I just do my best to move more and eat healthy.

So then I guess we're looking at a 5' 10" to maybe 5'5" span between the ladies listed? And the "dude" I misspoke of is likely 5'8-9"-ish?
Personally, I'm 5'6" :)
