bboilrd edamame pods as treats?

We eat a lot of edamame as snacks in our house. I buy the bags of frozen pods and boil them in salted water. We just eat the beans out of the pods. Is it ok to give the chickens to pods?

Personally mine didn't want the pods. We don't use much salt with ours but the chickens weren't interested, even when I diced up the pods in the cuiseart. Not sure about the salt, but the greens are fine.
