I got hatching eggs from 2 sources for the black, blue, splash Ameraucana.
I wasn't surprised to see white on the black chicks when they hatched, as I was used to that from the black Austrolorps I had.
But they are now 4 weeks old and still have white markings here and there.
What is the normal amount of time for them to turn pure black....or have I been duped?

Would help if you could post a picture. If I recall, the black Ameraucanas I had did on occasion have a white wing feather. It's an adolescent thing and they should molt out if that's what you're talking about.

LOL When I get near them they crowd into a corner. no photo hams in that bunch! Anyway, some have white dime-sized spots on their heads, others on their chests or wings.

Hmm, dime sized headspots? Odd. Shouldn't have that.
Here is one of my 8 week old Ameraucana cockerels and you can see the white wing feather.

Here is one at 4 weeks old:

ZThat 4 week old one is close. Put that white on his neck a little further up and that would be similar. Also more white on the wings. I'm gonna try and get pics in the morning.
This pic was at 2-2 1/2 weeks. I'll try to get some of them now.
