BCM mix pullets or cockerels

Hi, i have a pair of Black copper marans but i dont think they are pure. I would just like a few suggestions on trying to identify the sexe of these chicks! They are between 8 and 9 weeks old

I thought so too, only thing that made me doubt was the long hackle feathers but it could just be normal for BCM? They also sometimes face-off with my barred rock chick who im almost certain is a cockerel. Just wondering if this is normal for all younger chicks?

The feathers are mostly an illusion. The leakage can make them appear longer and wispier like rooster feathers. Facing off is normal and it's how they work out the hierarchy.
