Hello All!

Approximately 21 days ago, we decided to allow our broody Chocolate Orphington hen, COCO, sit on 8 eggs. We placed 4 olive egger hen * BCM roo eggs under her, 3 Americana hen * BCM roo(blue) eggs under her, as well as one misc brown egg (this was an egg she stole early on; we let her sit on it for funzies)

This morning, one of the OE * BCM eggs hatched. Now I ask myself: what will these chickens look like? If they are hens, what color will they lay? If anyone has experience with these crosses, please reach out! We are so excited!

These chickens came from Hoovers. I will attach pictures of the OE hens (dipstick & cilantro) the roo ( Drogon) & the new baby. The Americanas are practically EEs, so you can use your imagination on those.

The chick will probably grow up to be colored like Black Copper Marans.

If female, it might lay olive eggs, or it might lay brown eggs (dark brown or possibly medium brown.)

The chick might have a small crest of feathers on the head, like the Olive Egger mother has, or it might not.
