October 7-9th - BCPPA Fall Classic Poultry Show & Swap. 4-9pm on friday, all day saturday, awards & coop-out on sunday.
November 19th - BCPPA Fall Classic Pigeon Show & Swap. Birds can be brought in friday from 4-9pm. Doors open at 7 am saturday.
***Important Notice: All Poultry & Gamebirds need to have a numbered leg band and have a negative salmonella pullorum-typhoid (PT) test. Chicks and hatching eggs need proof that are from a PT free flock... NPIP or a 2011 breeder flock test result. All turkeys need a negative mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) and mycoplasma synoviae (MS) blood test within 30 days of sale. If you are coming in from out of state, the Board of Animal Health wants you to have a PT test within 30 days and CVI (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection). The BCPPA will test for PT at the swaps if time and personnel are available. Please have your paperwork ready at the gate. If any questions on what is needed, please consult the MPTL at (320) 231-5170.
*** New rule from the board of animal health this year.... No hooved animals allowed at the swaps (goats, sheep, mini horses, etc) No sale of puppies. Other animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, house birds, etc are still allowed. Flea market vendors are welcome.
*** The BCPPA will also be holding their club meetings at 10 am on the swap dates.
