I would like to invite Flat Stanley to Canada. Does he have a passport? He would visit the wildlife rehab place where my rescue ducks are from where the newest resident is none other than an American Bald Eagle. This poor fellow was found about 4 weeks ago suffering from a broken wing and severe dehydration. Someone found him on the ground during the coldest part of our Canadian winter and brought him to us. He has had to have his wing removed as the bone was dead and unable to be repaired and has become quite strong. I am only 2 hours from Niagara Falls so maybe he could come here after his visit there.
I'd love to have Stanley visit for a day here...maybe he'll get to help us service a client's fish tank or just spending it enjoying our critters and visiting with the neighborhood cows, goats and ostriches...
My nephew did a flat stanley! He came to our farm and rode on the horse and sheep!! Yours is welcome to come to Iowa in this wintery wonderland and go sleding with my 2 yr old and play with the cats..lol Let me know and I can give you my addy. I am sure you are over run with responses. Jenn
Thank you everyone! I pm'd all new inquiries back- hopefully you got them. I've had such an overwhelming response to this project & certainly appreciate all the time & effort everyone has/is giving.
I'm sorry the wait is getting so long for many of you. I had no idea Stanley would get soo many offers!
Please bare with us. I mail Stanley off on & first come first serve basis and I will pm you when your turn comes up just to make sure your still interested, especially if you've been waiting a long time.
For any new offers coming in, please know the wait is probably 1- 1.5months away before Stanley could get to you. Give or take a little. Remember he is literally bouncing from coast to coast! He comes home after each visit to share his news & adventures with his class & then he's mailed off again. All the stories, postcards, pics, etc you guys send back are shared & discussed in class the following day & then proudly displayed in the hallway just outside the Kindergartner's classroom.
Y'all have been so great sharing all your interesting adventures with us....love the history lessons, all the beautiful places & creative photos & of course the goodies! heehee The Kindergartners are loving this project! Thank you so so much!
