Hey Everyone!

Long time ghoster, finally posting. Classic story of country boy leaving home at eighteen to go off to see the world, learns the system via hard-knocks, military, academia then eeeeeewwwww, corporate culture. Extremely profitable, not so much for the soul. Gets fed up with the whole economic prison, cashes out of suburban wasteland, buys a ten acre ranch. Secures kind, loving and arguably, gullible wife, two border collie rescues (Loki &Thor), two mousers (Sir Figmund & Lady Elsbeth) Convinces the whole gang to leave Kalifornia and move to the high desert of Nevada and live the simple life... in a log cabin... with scorpions and rattlesnakes. Heh, heh, did I mention gullible?

We recently expanded our family to include sixty female Black Stars (sex-link) and sixty Black Austrolorps. There would have been sixty Gold Laced Wyndotes but there was a snafu with breed lot from the provider. (Meh, it happens in ag) The chicks are in week four of brooding, my wife, probably year three. More on all this later, just wanted to inroduce myself and thank everyone for all the useful information I've gleened from BYC over the last year or so on this strange but rewarding journey we are on.

Cheers!
