Another thought... Most powders are less dense than water, so rounded teaspoon should weigh about 5 grams, one level one 3 grams, 1/3 teaspoon 1 gram.

I found a measuring cup that has tenths of liters and mL on it, so I'll mix up the solution. I also have a syringe with tenths of mLs. Can't believe I have the needed tools...
I've been giving the hen a little of the med just guessing at the amount, but I'm sure the dose was way too low. The infected area has spread down her face a little. USPS still hasn't delivered the MediTrich.
Hen is still eating and grooming herself. I had to spray her for mites today. She just can't get a break!! I've been putting DE all over her coop but the mites are still here. Today I used a pyrethrin spray. She's so thin. Hopefully this trich med starts working soon.

UPDATE: My sick hen is eating more, drinking more water, and seems to have more energy. However, the large mass on the side of her face caused by the Trich is not gone yet. Today is day 4 on the MediTrich pills. Since the infection was pretty serious by the time I found meds for her, will it take a while for that giant bulge to go away? It still looks pretty bad. But it does look like the oldest part of it is drying up.
Sometime she sounds a little wheezy or gurgly. I've been really careful when giving her the med to not aspirate her. I'm hoping she properly swallowed the liquid w/ the med.
Do I keep giving her the medicine until her face looks normal again?

Well, my hen died last night. It was very cold, maybe that was a factor. The mass on her face hadn't decreased in size. I think the illness was too far along for the meds to work. She's at peace now.

One of my girls had this too. I cleaned it every day wearing gloves then with a q-tip applied over the counter anti-fungal cream found in the foot area of any store every day until it was cleared up. It cleared up nicely, my poor girl actually had holes in her beak from it.
