Beak in need of trimming?

I noticed a couple of my birds had odd ridges and cracks in their beaks. I added some pics with the bird that you can see it best in. Is this a injury from a peck or maybe they just need some trimming?

*It is actually her top beal, even though it looks like it's an over grown bottom

not sure, but i have to constantly trim by bantams all the time and i use a small kitty toenail clipper for the job.

Okay thabks. She's a standard Sumatra and she has grit, but she's in a wooden cage so I don't know if it's the set up or a genetics or an injury. Others in her group have it too but not as noticable

if the others has it too i would gander maybe genetics if only her then injury.. good luck with your babies

but keep an eye on them if they look like their losing weight then it might be affecting their feeding and watering.
