I have just hatched Mille Fleur d'Uccle Bantam chicks and one has its beak pointing sideways and getting worse the chick is eating and drinking but it worries me as the beak keeps moving further over, Im afraid one day the chick will not be able to drink or eat! I just started Rasing chickens about a year and 1/2 ago and have not seen this yet any help is appreciated.

Many will say cull it, but I'm a softy and coward, so I usually add chicks like these to my "special needs" group. Do a search for scissor beak.

FWIW, I have one and it does fine as long as I keep her beak trimmed and let her eat out of a deep dish of food. She's about six years old now.

I looked it up and I could not cull the chick so I will do as you have done and keep reading on the scissor beak. Thanks so much for the info!
