Beak problem (pics)

This is a young blue copper maran..Its upper beak is a bit shorter than the lower but thats not the real problem..It "apprears" that it has a spot that is degrading away on its beak..Between the area where the hard beak and fleshy area connect..Im at a loss here, anyone help? Sorry the pics arnt the best but its all I could get..

Thanks, Im kinda wondering if it had been a beak injury from pecking thru the wire??? Im gonna get some atibiotics this eveining..It seems to be eating and drinking fine..
 
WOW, Um...I would just watch your little one to maybe determine if it affects any normal behavior.

Did you hatch the chick or purchase from a hatchery? It looks like it has been de-beaked. Some hatcheries do that and it could have been tossed in with the order mistakenly. If not, then keep on eye on it and make sure it is eating. Give it a deep dish to eat from so it can scoop the food out.
