Hello. I have been raising 100% English imported Black Orpingtons for a year now. My son wants to show one of them at the upcoming show in our area. We went over the standards of perfection and have a question about the beak.
Standards of perfection say that the beak has to be black. It also says that yellow beaks are a disqualification.
Our roo has a beak that is black bit has a light color around the very tip and bottom edge of the mouth area... I don't know if I would call it yellow... More bone color...
My question is, will he be disqualified because the entire beak is not solid black or do they just want the primary color black?
