This might be a silly question, but I've never had to do it. I just bought this chicken yesturday and it has a bit of an over grown beak. How do I trim it? Do I just snip off the end with a pair of hoof nippers or should I file it with something? Thanks.

I have a cochin with a twisted beak that needs to get trimmed every so often. I just use my fingernail clippers.

Take a little off at a time - I'm talking millimeter - until it's where you want it. That will help prevent you from going too far as well as keep the beak from splitting.

Looks in the pic like there's sort of a line where the beak should be. You could probably take it back that far.
