beak trimming?

Will trimming their beak stop them from eating eggs?

Trimming a chickens beak is a very painful experience, when they are younger and are made for eggs/meat, they get debeaked so that can't hurt each other, but the pain can sometimes be so bad the chicken can't eat at all.

The beak is full of nerves.
