beak trimming?

Use a nail clippers and shorten it to just below the lower beak. Then use an emory board to smooth it out, just like doing your fingernails. It is the same stuff after all. Simple really.

Don't overdo it. It makes the beak look wierd and not "show ready" if there isn't a little bit of the top overlapping the bottom.

Leaving beaks to long makes a the head on a show bird look out of proportion and might make the situation look like the owner didn't care about the presentation. Judges look unfavorably on that.

They are not debeaking them they are talking about trimming the little hook that the top beak it can have. Its like the same thing people do for parrots to take some of the point and sharpness from their beak.
