Beak Wound??? !HELP!

I am away from my house right now, but my mom just sent me some pictures of my broody hen thinking she had some kind of injury. To me it kinda looked like crusted food stuck to it. But she said it almost looked like a scoop of her beak had been eroded. Here are some pictures what do you think it is?

It looks like a crusty nostril. If she's breathing and not bleeding, she'll be okay until you can check her out.

Don't get back till later, but i'm thinking it may be because she is broody and maybe she isn't getting up to get enough water or food or something
