Heavy metal with gaps birds can fit heads and necks farther into that bear can with tongue to reach feed. It needs to be mounted to something strong so bear cannot roll it to get feed to spill out.
You might even be able to make feeder hot (fence charger) where ground it set up so bear can touch feeder and ground at same time but birds cannot. Then you might be a to get away with current feeder design. First feeder might be destroyed as bear figures out it cannot get feed out without getting shocked.
