I have an EE that is low hen in the pecking order. She looked fine a couple of days ago, but today when I went to check on the girls, I noticed that her entire beard was missing. She had a few pin feathers on her naked face. Would another hen just pluck our all of her beard feathers? Or could she have randomly molted them all at the same time? Help!

sounds like pecking to me but thats just a guess...

What can I do to stop her from being picked on? She is a sweetheart and I hate to see her picked on all the time. She had just finished growing in all her feathers from being stripped naked by an overzealous roo.

I would figure out who the picker is then isolate them for 24/48hrs before bring back to the flock.
Dog crates work well for this.

In my group of 5 week old chicks I have a couple Ameraucanas and some EEs. The Icelandic chicks in with them have pecked away every muff and beard of ALL of them. Eventually I'll separate them and pray they grow back.
