ty for the welcome to byc...and thanks for the link very interesting..i dint think it would be a problem adding 6 pullets to the coop. they are the same age as our silkies..follow some guidelines and hope for the best...
 
hello thanks for the welcome...i will use your dog crate method it sounds like it worked well for you..my biggest problem is my coop and yard isnt that big maybe 15/15 i have ametal laying box with 10 laying nests.. i want to free range the birds so they should have plenty of room too run....have a good one and ty for the tips
 
aww thats too bad...so its not a good idea to mix the breed ? can i add sm chicks to the coop?
 
Welcome to BYC. Integrating new birds can always be a hassle. Silkies are generally so docile (and sometimes sight limited because of their crests) that larger birds frequently make their life miserable.
