Hi,
I am new to poultry - have some hens on order for egg laying purposes but am really interested in finding a few Bearded D'Uccles for my kids' 4-H projects. I would love 1 Roo and 3-4 hens...but would obviously be happy with a few chicks and play the odds on gender too since I know it is somewhat impossible to sex bantams.
Anyone in the Ohio area breeding these little birds? My Pet Chicken has them available (sexed?) in late July but would REALLY like them sooner and would rather use a local breeder - especially for 4-H birds.
Would be willing to drive a couple of hours if need be!
