Bearded or non bearded

How can you tell from one week old silkie chick is bearded or non bearded?

It's hard to tell. I had a white silkie chick that didn't have a beard at all, then when she was about a month old she got a huge top hat and the biggest beard and muffs you ever saw!

I only have one silkie and I am hoping for two things...female and bearded. Right now she/he doesn't look like bearded.

if you copy and paste the thumb, you'll post a smaller pic that is clickable to a larger pic like this


click on it and it should show you the full size image....

if you copy and paste the image line you get the picture posted to the size you resized it to in the thread like this

this is actually one of the easiest uploads i've dealt with...
