Purchased my thought to be pullet from a farm store the last week of March 2014 at 1 week old. About 1 month ago we realized that Violet was really a Victor when he started crowing. It also should have been a clue that he was the biggest hen I'd ever seen... We have tried to keep him but really don't have the room for hens to not be super stressed out by him. He is very friendly though and my husband holda him with no problems. Would like to find someone who wants Americauna chicks. His coloring is beautiful and his tail feathers are really awesome
!

Please let me know if you are willing to make a home for our Victor :) We can deliver.

Victor is one handsome Easter Egger - since you are looking to re-home him it is important to be sure that you are clear about his actual breed (or, more to the point, lack thereof) - one small step in not proliferating the misinformation and misrepresentation of the birds.

That is indeed an Ameraucana ?
This is mine He is lacking his muffs at the moment and he is molting, but we hatched and raised an Ameraucana that looked just like that one.

This is a lavender Ameraucana.

Louisville, NE. Just south of Omaha. We would be happy to deliver him if you are interested.

I am new to the chicken world, but when I purchased him they were sold as Americaunas. Also the according to my research the coloring and feathered cheek muffs are in line with the breed. I am sure Easter-Egger is not an official breed.

Thanks for your input. I was wondering what a lavender looked like. Very beautiful!

Yeah, a lot of people say easter egger because ameraucanas arent all that common. They are a true breed that lay blue to green eggs. Easter eggers arent a true breed and they have what i think is larger muffs, lay blue eggs, and have green legs. Ameraucans should have pale to slate colored legs with a beard and muffs. As well as a small sized pea comb...thougj my boys pea comb is rather , large.

My assertion is based on the bird not meeting the color standard for any of the recognized Ameraucana colors - in fact showing a patter of a mixed bird, not a pure. Additionally, the bird pictured shows green legs.
