How about brightening my egg-free Winter days? Show me all your beautiful roos. Let's celebrate all the shapes and sizes and colors that testosterone comes in!

Here's mine, Monsieur Maurice. Oo la la! He's a Black Copper Marans.

Same here. M. Maurice used to be Maude.

I'm no authority but I bought M. Maurice from a reputable hatchery so I'm sure he's BCM and Iris looks like he has the same characteristics. ...except for the feathered legs but there are authentic BCMs who are bred to have featherless legs as well.

It will be interesting to see what color eggs his chicks lay. I hope he passes on the dark color genes for you!

I just go rid of all of my cockerels, the only ones left are the Bantam Batchelor coop and one frizzled Bantam Cochin cockerel who's out with the flock.

This one of the cockerels I got rid of. He had gorgeous honey colored hackle feathers coming in.

I'll have to go out and take a group shot of the Bantam Batchelor coop.

I don't know what color eggs his chicks would lay, if I could hatch any, but he was in an olive egg.
