The beautiful rooster we found yesterday has a home! We drove him to a lady Carol, that is the Nash County animal shelter. . She had one rooster by himself, no hens, and said if they got along she'd be happy to keep him. If they didn't she'd place him with friends of hers locally that has a farm. She had hens at one time, but no longer, so she figured the two Roosters would get along.
When we got there we found a nice farm with boarded horses, ducks on a big pond and many acres of fenced land. She has ducks also. When we let the boy "Lightning" out of the crate, he walked around a little and then let out a nice cockadoodle-doo! I took a movie of the whole meeting. The two had a little spat - ran around awhile and then her Rooster took alpha position and peace was had! Yay! I'm posting a photo of the two of them together. That worked out nicely. I told her I would check back in next week to make sure all was well. Happy ending seems realized! Nice person helping critters. Yes! Thanks all.
