This rooster came from a silkie maran cross breeding. He is beautiful and my all time favorite rooster! I was wondering if I I cross him back to black silkie hens if it would delute the maran coloring? I assume some of the offspring will hatch with silked feathers, but what about the egg color? Will the dark maran egg color pass on? He is perfect and I plan to make more but also want to mess around with cross a bit more. Will this cross breed true?
