There is someone near me who is raising and selling "Ameraucana/Easter Eggers." Before someone says anything, yes, I know they are not the same.

I have seen some EE pictures on this forum where the hens were beautifully colored. I'd actually like to get just one, so I can admire her, since colored eggs are not my thing. I know EEs vary a lot in color and markings, but the ones I saw and thought were so pretty have sort of a tweedy look, with patterning on each individual feather. Can anyone tell me what this color is called so I can ask for one?

Are you talking about Blue Buff Partridge?

She's pretty, but the coloring I'm trying to find a name for has pattern on each individual feather and is a little darker.

Nice hen! :)
Like lacing, or Penciling? My hen has some, but mainly on the sides of her breasts, & is a bit diluted.

I also have a hen who’s coloring is sort of like a welsummer.

That one's pretty, too!

I'd like to find out what the color/pattern is called so I don't end up calling and saying I want a pretty EE in a certain color pattern but I don't know what it's called. And I figured if I started this thread people would get a chance to show off their nice looking birds! :)
