Hi,

We have a beautiful peacock with a 5ft tail who has chosen to live on our patio and yard. The owner lives over a mile away and does not care to come get him, nor does he want him back. Three of his birds have wondered off....sigh... and have come through our property. I live in Clintonville WI and would like for someone who already has Peacocks to give him a good home. He is such a sweet bird.

We live in the middle of 32 aces of woods with a 2 acre yard field. He stays on our patio, naps on the steps, and roams our property now and then. He goes off to the woods at night. He is back again at 5:30 every morning and stays around the house all day. He will allow us to be 12 inches from him when we feed his cheese.

I hope there is someone who will love him and give him a good home with other Peacocks. Winter is coming and I am very concerned about him.

Please help me find him a good home.

Thanks,
J

It is wonderful that you are trying to find him a home, there should be no problem finding him a home.

Thank you!

Allistar is a beautiful Peacock! His tail is awesome! He likes to nap on our patio, even right next to the door!
I have had a few responses from some lovely people. Have a nice day!

Why don't you let him stay? it sounds like you two like each other, he will be fine in the winter as long as you feed him.
If that is him in your avatar he is a beautiful black shouldered

I wanted to add if the guy that owned him before he came to you stopped feeding him that may be why he found sanctuary with you he just needs a home and i think he thinks he found one.

Yes, that is him! We live in northern Wisconsin, temps drop well below freezing -10 -15 with wind chills -32, along with 3- 4 ft of snow or more! Cold weather here can start as early as October and last through April or even May. The man who owned him has done this 3 x's before within the last 10 years that I am aware of. He purchases Peacocks, has a lovely yard and huge pens, with other ducks, chickens etc. He does not want to catch them of have them back....I assume he just purchases new ones??? We also had one of his white males and a female go through through our property, they did not stay. Allistar did, we found him napping on the patio. He loves to roam the yard and now and then slips into the woods, but mostly loves the yard and patio. He will stay a safe distance from us, unless we have cheese, then he will come up to us within 12 inches. I can call him and usually he will come to the patio door...
