Can anyone tell me what kind of rooster this is, please?

He could be a number of things from a barnyard mix to a distinct breed...it's hard to know without knowing his background.

From appearance alone, I think he is likely just a pretty barnyard mix as he doesn't quite fit the color pattern for the distinct breeds below (there isn't enough barring in his tail, and coloring isn't quite a match)

Some breeds that could look like that are Bielefelder (rare and expensive), Rhodebar (uncommon but growing in number), Dixie Rainbow (uncommon but growing in number),

Pretty boy no matter what he is.

It looks like a Pioneer (also marketed as Dixie Rainbow) cockerel.

I'm leaning toward mixed breed. I think he's too light and leggy with too much comb for a Pioneer or Rainbow, just going from what I've seen here. he looks to have some Leghorn influence IMO.

Then he is probably a black sexlink cockerel. They are usually a cross of Rhode Island Red rooster and Barred Rock hens.
