Oh, no. I'm sorry to hear that. It was really beautiful, and very cute. Sometimes things happen, though, and you can't stop it. Sorry if that sounds cold, just trying to be reassuring if you feel guilty about this.

No guilt, but thanks. I know that there is no way to know something is wrong if they don't show it. I just hate it because it was so tiny and cute. We have lost three to a mystery and about to lose a second to what looks like poopy butt, but isn't. They get checked about every hour or two because we like to catch poopy butt quickly. First sign of it but the little Silkie was already looking bad. We have corid and nutri drench and they get a wash/wipe and a bit of Vaseline to keep it from sticking to feathers.
