So I will be getting my ducklings in a few weeks via the postal service. I'm going to brood them in my big soaking tub in the master bathroom. I plan to put a non slip cuboard liner down and then I have chopped straw but was also wondering if I put the newspaper through my shredder could I use that as well? Also I bought this waterer and I'm wondering once the ducks are grown is it big enough for them to slop the water when eating???

Hmmm....lol....First off that waterer can be returned....
Ducks need water deep enough to dunk their entire heads into multiple times a day...It keeps their nares and eyes clear..
Then straw moulds quickly because Ducklings spill as much as they drink in one day...I would reconsider another Brooder option..How many Ducklings are you getting?

6 ducklings. What options for brooders would you recommend? I ha e many people using tubs as brooders because they are easy and quick to clean and rinse.

I use totes...Then move to a plywood brooder in my garage and then outside to the coop and run...I use piddle pads the first few days and then pine shavings...Dog dishes for feed, one a soupy mix and the other Dry feed and margarine container with Duckling head sized holes cut into lid so they can dunk head but not bath in the water...I bath/swim Ducklings at 3 days old so they stimulate the oil gland...

You may be able to brood them outside in their adult house. You can put a lamp out there for heat or use likely whatever you had in mind for their indoor heat source if you have a way to get power to there.
Ducks inside smell. Quickly. And that smell doesn't go away easily, it just lingers.

fullsizeoutput_34a.jpeg This is my duck run- its right off the patio so I wanted it to be cool looking and go with the rest of the yard. They have a nice duck house inside there that is actually double walled and insulated. I am hoping after 4-5 weeks they can graduate from the tub, to the plywood brooder and then out to their forever home.
