im getting 25 chicks in the mail on thur. im all set up and ready to go. now im second guessing myself on bedding. i have horses so i used the bagged shavings. is that allright?

Its okay but at first put a layer of Paper towels over the Shavings untill they learn what there food is otherwise they will eat the shavings so just cover them up for now and then after there 100% sure about where and what there food is uncover them! good luck

versamorgans, Welcome to BYC. Hands down pine shavings are the best you can use. In just a couple days when the peeps know what's food and water they are good to go. Good Luck.

Oooh, also a question. Those little things that look like shavings, but are appearently healthier (and I would say much softer!)? Are those okay? They do have a big list of animals that they're great for, including birds.
