I had a rabbit eat stall mats.

I gave her an entire 12 x 12' stall thinking the mats would keep her from digging out... wrong... She just ate all the corners and up one side off of 3" thick mats then started digging a trench in the ag lime base. The only thing a rabbit can't chew is metal. Giving them unlimited good quality hay and other objects will limit the chewing though. I have mine in a plywood base covered in nontoxic marine polyurethane and then surrounded by wire. They have yet to chew on it but it's 3x6' with boxes, wood toys, and a hay rack that holds an entire slice. I'm planning my future rabbit cages to sit in a building so I can make them all wire including putting wire inside the frame and then having wood pieces on one end that will let the rabbits off the wire but can be easily replaced as they get destroyed.
