Bedding for the winter

So the winter is coming and I have a question. What kind of bedding should I put on the floor? Right now I have a grill so that the poop falls between the bars. As it gets cold, I won't be able to use this anymore. 6 geese make quite a mess and I need something easily replaceable and easy to acquire. I don't have access to straw. I made some reserves but it will only last for about 1 month.

In my goose house I have pine shaving actually it says horse bedding on the bale, I have vinyl flooring on top of the wood floor and then I put a thick layer of shavings on top probably 6-8" then I just scoop out the poop each day and fluff up the bedding. I only have 2 geese and only have to add fresh bedding 1X a month.
