Bedding

I am setting up their coop today, I have the choice of:
Hay
Straw
Horse shavings

Which should I use?

Pine horse shavings, hands down.
Hay is very prone to mold and straw stays wet and can mold also. The chickens will mix up the shavings and manure giving it a cleaner appearance longer.

 

[Going Quackers]

The horse shavings are what i'd use out of those, can you get any wood pellet horse bedding? it's a great combo.. shavings/pellets even for horses lol
