Just because you're in an area zoned agricultural, make sure you know what your Subdivision's Covenants are. There are many areas where the government doesn't regulate animals like chickens, but it could be prohibited by your HOA. Lots of people get them because they aren't prohibited by their local government, only to find out that the HOA regulations supercede the town/county.

Sorry! I remembered the OP mentioning their subdivision, and that's something a lot of people 'forget' to check with.

Most people in subdivisions in Bedford are within city limits, not county agricultural zones.
