My 10 little ones, who moved into the coop/run on Saturday, put themselves to bed tonight. I'm glad it only took a few nights. I never realized how sneaky they could be until I tried stuffing 10 of them in the coop at once.
I do have a question. Will they naturally use the roosting bars when they get older, or do they need to be shown that? They're currently sleeping huddled up in the bedding on the floor.
Since I have a larger breed, Buff Orpingtons, are the 2"x2" bars sufficient, or should I replace them with 2x4's?
Thanks to everyone. This is a great forum. Both informative and polite, which is a breath of fresh air.

They’ll probably learn over time. One of them will hop up there curious and then it will start a trend. It’s kind of an instinct I think.
