Bee sting

I took my two week old chicks outside today. One of them ran off and grabbed something in his beak, then started crying and ran to me. I realized it was a bee and immediately pulled the stinger out. I just want to know if this could possibly kill him. There is no swelling (as of yet) and he's still being very active.

Just saw this ... I'm guessing ... That since no swelling, that it will be ok, it may be more cautious of any bug now though ...

If there no swelling he probably not allergic to bees which is good however some maybe. I know some dogs are i assume the same could be said of chickens and i agree he going to be more causious about bugs.

It will require more than one or two bee stings to kill a chicken. However there is a test for Afranknized bees that the Mexicans use that involves tying up a white chicken and putting it in front of the suspect hive. If the bees come swarming out and sting the chicken to death the bees she bee Afranknized.

Ya, there still is no swelling, thank goodness. I read somewhere that bee stings could kill a week old chick, so I was scared I could lose him.

A single bee sting could kill a adult human ... Just depends ...
