"Little Hershey" and "Big Hershey"
I have two 9 month old PURE BRED, CHOCOLATE BANTAM ORPINGTON cockerels with Greenfire Lines. Bought these hatching eggs from a breeder who's breeding stock came straight from Greenfire Farms. Hatched on 3/07/13. One of the cockerels is smaller & I would consider him to be a true bantam size of this breed, and typey, a true & perfect representation of this breed, and we call him "Little Hershey". The other young roo is a tad bit bigger than the smaller one and would be great for those that are looking for a slightly larger roo for their LF Chocolate Orpington project, and is known as "Big Hershey" in the pics. Unfortunately, only 2 out of 6 eggs hatched, and they were both cockerels. They both have been petted and handled often since they were hatched, and both are very friendly, and have beautiful coloring and conformation. These pictures do not do them justice, their coloring is a rich, dark, chocolate brown! Pics were taken on 6/24/13 (15.5 weeks old). 3rd pic is a more recent pic (photo untouched) of Little Hershey taken 9/10/13 at 27 weeks of age. He's getting more handsome, and the coloring on him is even getting richer. Local pick-up only. I hate to give them up, but I have no pullets to put them with!
