Hi, I'm TnMama, from S.W. Tn just north of Memphis,Tn. I joined so far back I can't remember my last visit. We are finally on the way to having our Hen Harem around here,lol. The plans are drawn up,much equipment is available in various family member's yards,just laying around. In fact,our hen house was actually pre-fabbed to be a deer stand for Hubs cousin. The design is perfect for a hen house. We have to add a roof,nesting boxes,the doors and ventilation. So now we plan to finish the building over at our GP's house,except the roof and move it the 2 miles to our house. Most of the tools we need to finish the house is over there. Our chicken yard will be rather large considering some of the pic's we've looked at on here. I'm impressed by the design's of the houses and coops. I do plan to paint mine red,and paint, See Rock City in white on the black roof. It's a TN thing,lol. I've not ordered my girls yet,we aren't getting a rooster. I've just gotten so excited again,since we've priced everything and drafted the house plans and such.
