Been here a while - finally coming out of the chicken lovers closet.

I'm a 74 yr old great grandma. My husband & I finally got our dream of country life!! We moved to N.E. Washington state 2yrs ago & bought a place that already had a good size chicken coop. Bonus!! I have Buff Orpingtons and this summer a hen (best mama ever!) went broody & hatched 5 chicks (4 pullets & a little dude). It was nerve wracking waiting for the hatch but a truly wonderful experience! BYC is my "go to" when I need advice, info or entertainment. Glad to be a member - TU to everyone on this site.
