Bees in the Coop?

Has anyone ever had a problem with bees making a nest in the coop?

How have you dealt with that?

We are making new coops and we are afraid of our yearly friends the carpenter bees. This time we are painting and not staining siding, but we are still wary. We have a big problem with them every year as well as with wasps.

When I converted the woodshed to a coop there were a lot of wasp nests hanging in it and I was worried that they might be a problem. There hasn't been one nest in there since I put chickens in. I think the chickens take care of the problem.
