As was stated above, wait until late in the day (like now) and close the bin. Then make sure to keep it closed when you aren't using it.

Well, if you're sure they are just trying to eat the food, I would get the food. They won't bother you. Better make sure they aren't moving in though. Also, I'd have someone else around to watch and help. In another hour to hour and a half they should be moving back to the hive anyway (if they are only eating the feed).

Well... i closed it after dark, when they left, and then they mobbed the bowls of feed!But we fixed that too.... Lolita the silkie learned she likes those fat, buzzing things!

theyre still hanging around, and my bros are dead scared, but i am peacefully coexisting with the insects!
