So I wondered if we could add a set of threads and subject for honey bees on this forum?

I would think there's a lot of people that already have bees on here. And this is a very friendly site.

One of the reasons why I would like this is that the other really big beekeeping forum on the internet is NOT friendly. And I encountered a lot of rude people there because there's social hierarchies and social class in place.

On a side note, I wondered if swarm traps work in urban cities, if there's flowers, water, etc in a particular area?

I second the idea of a bee thread. Have never been on the other bee forum, so thanks for the info. No idea about the swarm traps, however.

I guess it depends on the local bee population, unless you just want to make sure any of your own swarms don’t get away 😂 I have an urban backyard hive in Perth, plenty of beeks and swarms around here. The local plant nursery has a feral hive in a tree in their car park... tsk tsk
